Helles

Helles is now on tap at Roosevelt and in bottles at both locations.

A style born in Southern Germany, Helles is an elegant and refreshingly simple beer style. Soft and smooth with low bitterness, this beer is predicated around German malts that impart full bready notes and slight lingering sweetness. Noble German hops provide slight floral and herbal accents, balancing out the sweet malt notes to create a highly drinkable beer that was designed to be consumed by the liter. Prost!

5% ABV // 15 IBU

SEE: Golden straw with slight haze. White head with good retention.

SMELL: Bready, slight floral and herbal

TASTE: Bready forward, balanced by a herbal and floral hop character. Slight sweet malt character that finishes very dry.

BITTER: 1 (out of 5).

SWEET: 2 (out of 5).

HOPS: Hallertau Magnum and Hallertau Mittelfruh.

MALTS: German Pilsner, German Vienna, and German Carahell.
