RED SKY RIDERS
Red Sky Riders is a local Bellingham bluegrass folk rock ensemble featuring guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and bass. We play a variety of progressive bluegrass folk rock gospel and general Americana. Red Sky Riders provide a full and rich sound. Up-tempo is the pace, but pretty waltzes and lonesome tunes make timely appearances. Eminently featured are harmony vocals, flat-picking, finger-picking, and bass-thumping. We take our lead breaks seriously. Red Sky Riders have performed at many local events and venues in Whatcom and Skagit counties since 2017. We are celebrating our seventh year as a band. About what you’d expect. Only better, probably. Band Members include Billy Waldo (guitar, vocal), Peter Horne-guitar (banjo, vocal), Nicki Lang (claw hammer banjo, guitar, vocal), Perry Welch (mandolin, vocal), Bob Pescovitz (harmonica, vocal) and Angus McLane on standup bass. Alternate banjo provided by Larry Sult.
