Rosie and Sam officially started playing music together when Rosie asked Sam to teach her how to play Irish-style guitar. After two or three sittings, it became clear that Rosie could already play Irish-style guitar and only minimal philosophical guidance from Sam was actually required. So they did the only sensible thing to do, which was to start a new band. Gathering tunes both mysterious and driving, old and new, from the far-flung reaches of the Irish tradition and beyond, Rosie and Sam make more music by blowing air through tubes and hitting a box with some very tight strings on it than is generally considered possible, or advisable.
